iPhone 12: most common problems with the device

19 May 2021

The iPhone 12 is a fairly new device and the majority of its users have not experienced any issues with their phone so far. However, this is not the case for everyone, as some people have reported having problems with their iPhone 12, especially with 5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth .

So here are the most common problems with the iPhone 12 and how to try to fix them.

My iPhone 12 won’t connect to Wi-Fi

If your phone won’t connect to Wi-Fi, or if you notice that the connection speed is slower, here’s what you can do :

  • Unplug your router for a minute and plug it back in.
  • If the problem isn’t with the router, go to your iPhone’s settings. Go to the “Wi-Fi” section and select your connection. Tap “Forget this network” and log in again by manually entering the password.
  • You can also reset your phone’s connection settings if what has been mentioned above does not work. To do this, go to general settings and reset your connection settings.

My iPhone 12 does not connect to Bluetooth

If you are unable to connect your device to a Bluetooth device, the first thing to do is to forget the connection. To do this, go to the settings, then to “Bluetooth”. Choose the device and press “Forget this device”. Then log back in.

If that doesn’t work, you can reset your phone’s connection settings as we mentioned in the third point of the previous section. Be careful, however, because this action will also erase the saved passwords of your Wi-Fi connections.

To fix the problem, you can also try resetting your device to factory defaults by going to general settings and then tapping “Reset factory defaults”.

5G does not appear on my iPhone 12

The reason why your device does not connect to the 5G network is because your current plan does not allow it . Check with your provider to resolve the problem and change your plan.

My iPhone 12 is no longer charging

If you’re having trouble with your phone wirelessly charging, try restarting your iPhone 12 first. To do this, press and release the button to increase the volume, press and release the button to decrease the volume, and then press and hold the start button until your device turns off. Turn your device back on to see if the problem persists.

In addition, remove your protective case and any cards it contains, if any, before charging your phone. This could be the cause of the problem.
